Baden-Württemberg - Castles
Schloss Favorite
Close to Baden-Baden you will find the beautiful Schloss Favorite. This baroque palace was inhabited by the wife of Ludwig Wilhelm of Baden-Baden. Guided tours are available in the summer months, but unfortunately dogs are not allowed inside. However, you can take a lovely walk through the garden and near the car park there is a schloss café where you can have a drink.
Burg Rabenstein
In the Fränkische Schweiz lies the beautiful Burg Rabenstein. This medieval castle is a hotel where dogs are also allowed. You can take beautiful walks around the castle and the castle has a cosy beer garden where you can relax and enjoy a snack and a drink. Read more about the hike here!
Bavaria - Castles
Altes Schloss Eremitage (Bayreuth)
Unfortunately, the Altes Schloss Eremitage in Bayreuth cannot be visited with your dog, but you can take a beautiful walk in the gardens for free. You can see the castle and the Heremitage from the outside. You can see the beautiful colours of the stones on the outside and in the garden are several sights that belong in an English landscape garden. You can also take a rest after a nice walk in the castle’s café!
