Who We Are?
Our Mission
Our mission is to help you in the best possible way with your doubts, questions and needs during your vacation with your dog. Because traveling with your dog is really worth it!

The origin of the idea
Actually, I never particularly cared for dogs as a
child. We sometimes had guinea pigs or rabbits at home, but a dog never came up.
When I moved into my current house in 2016, I felt pretty lonely and that’s when the idea of getting a furry friend came up. As I was away from home a lot, I didn’t do this anyway. Until I moved in with my husband in 2017 and he brought his dog named Rex with him. From the first moment, I was sold and had a great time with the three of us. So from then on, we went on holiday with Rex almost every holiday.
Rex the shepherd
Rex was a gigantic shepherd-rotweiler cross from the shelter and he weighed 46 kilos. So for that reason we always went on holiday to Germany, because there the rottweiler was not a forbidden dog for tourists to take with them.
Despite that, I found out that it is really not that easy to take your dog everywhere. Many people are afraid of such a big dog and not all restaurants are eager to let dogs in. Still, we usually managed to find a place somewhere, but sometimes we were really looking for a while.
Unfortunately, Rex passed away in March 2020. At first we thought we didn’t want a dog anymore, because of course it limits you somewhere too, but actually we soon found out that it doesn’t work like that: once you get used to having a dog in the house, you never want to be without one.

A Welsh Corgi Cardigan
We had been talking about corgis for years and so, after reading up on them, we decided we wanted to register with a kennel for a Welsh corgi cardigan. And so it happened: on 12 October 2020, our little Shampoo was born, my first real dog of my own.
Because he is a lot smaller (19 kilos) and he is not on a banned list, we went out with him a lot from the beginning and also to many different countries: Germany, France, Austria, Wales, Scotland, England, Ireland, you name it. Not every country is as easy in allowing dogs. And sometimes it would have been useful if we had had certain info in advance.
Helping other people
That is when the idea for this site was born: how nice it is to have one place with all kinds of tips on restaurants, beautiful walks, castles, etc, where your four-legged friend is also welcome.
I sincerely hope this will help other people who like to go on holiday with their dog to prepare for their holiday or inspire them to visit certain places. Or pull people just over the line who are unsure about travelling with a dog. Because travelling with your dog is so incredibly enjoyable, I wish everyone! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
